New FreeCaddie Pro Enables Advanced Rangefinder Capabilities for Windows Mobile Devices
SAN DIEGO, Calif., August 25, 2008 - With a focus aimed at offering best-in-class GPS-enabled rangefinding capabilities for Windows Mobile devices, Mobile Software Design LLC, makers of the FreeCaddie golf rangefinder application, today announced Free Caddie Pro, its latest feature-packed release. FreeCaddie Pro, created as an alternative to high-priced GPS rangefinders, provides distances to the front, center and back of greens as well as bunkers and hazards. Additional capabilities include score keeping, statistics tracking, remote course downloading, and course editing.
"FreeCaddie Pro users enjoy the ease-of-use and functions typically not found on dedicated GPS rangefinders, at a fraction of the cost. The ability to track scores and statistics as well as access GPS rangefinder features via a Windows Mobile device, really make this application stand out," said Mobile Software Design founder David Kincaid.

One of the new features of FreeCaddie Pro is the ability to track scores and statistics by entering the data in at the end of each hole via a Windows Mobile device. The scoring and statistics readouts are transposed into easy-to-read graphs and pie charts indicating scores, fairways hit, greens in regulations, chips, putts, bunker shots and penalties.
"FreeCaddie Pro is an easy and convenient way for golfers to track their progress," Kincaid said.
FreeCaddie Pro has no annual or course download fee and works with Windows Mobile devices that have built-in or external Bluetooth GPS Receivers. FreeCaddie Pro is offered at $24.95 and can be purchased by going to
